It’s being reported by several sources that as soon as Monday Alaska Airlines will announce a deal to acquire Virgin America. Many of us are scratching our heads and saying why? The two airlines don’t seem like soulmates, and the company cultures are very different. Missed A Good One

I’m a full time professional and my work weeks can be fairly demanding. Meetings, deadlines, and impatience customers are all part of the deal. I feel fortunate to have my career, that I enjoy my work, and that business is good.

Yesterday I had just finished a conversation with a fellow associates and had about 5 minutes before my next meeting. I glanced at my phone while I waited for the Keurig to finish and saw this post from Zach Honig at The Points Guy. There was a deal going on with Delta for round trip business class tickets from San Francisco to South Africa for $2,200. Routings were apparently available with KLM trough Europe and on Delta’s Atlanta to Johannesburg route. Holly smokes! This sounded too good to be true. Continue reading “Missed A Good One”

Review: Park Hyatt New York, New Year’s Eve

When Scott invited me out for the soiree, the invite also included staying at his Park Avenue apartment with him and his family. It was a generous offer and one I gladly took. About week later he called and let me know that on the evening of December 31st his sister in-law was in town and would need the guest bed for that one night. I completely understood, but shoot, that evening was going to be expensive in New York.
