I awoke and headed out to LaGuardia airport at 5:00am via a New York yellow cab. My flight didn\u2019t depart until 8:10am, but I wanted to get to the airport early and check out the American Express Centurion Club. My flight was departing out of Terminal C and the Centurion Club was located in Terminal B. I didn\u2019t know how long it was going to take to get between terminals but I wanted give myself plenty of time.<\/p>\n

LGA has Terminal A (the Marine Terminal), Terminal B, Terminal C, and Terminal D. To make things confusing Terminal B also has gates A, B, C and D. It\u2019s best to reference the map to insure you know where you\u2019re going.<\/p>\n

I arrived to busy Terminal C just before 6am. I checked in with Delta, checked my bags onto SMF, and then headed over to Terminal B. The walk was short between terminals and takes less than 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

American Express has decorated the departures area of Terminal B with a number of advertisements for market presence of the Centurion Club.<\/p>\n

The receptionists who worked for this American Express Club were friendly and courteous. My experience with all the clubs has been similar. After showing her my Platinum Card, ID and boarding pass I was admitted into the club.<\/p>\n

The club was sectioned into two main areas. A casual library styled lounge that was empty this morning and the main dining area. Both are connected by a decorated corridor that also acts as a seating lounge area. In the back of the dining room are the guest washrooms.<\/p>\n

In the dining area there were 2 areas of food on display. The first area was for hot plates and included breakfast items like pancakes, French toast, eggs, oatmeal, etc.\u00a0 The second area was for cold items and included fruit, yogurt and such. There was also a hot coffee and an expresso machine that worked pretty well. You could also get beverages at the main bar.<\/p>\n

I always find the food so good in the Centurion Lounge. I settled into a plate of French toast (that was delicious) and watched the sun come up over the East River.<\/p>\n

In Summary<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve wanted to check out the LGA Centurion Club for a while, and although it may be disappointing for some that it is not airside, it\u2019s nice for Delta and American passenger\u2019s visiting from Terminal C and D. The lounge is nicely designed, enjoyable to visit, and well stocked with tasty food and drink. It never felt crowded during my visit and the staff was attentive on the few service items you might need. I think this club with an LGA flight is my favorite way to exit New York for domestic travel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
