Incredible Targeted Offer from Southwest Airlines

Who doesn’t love a good opportunity, and if your one of the targeted individuals by Southwest Airlines you may be able to take advantage of an email offer that was been sent to a number of Rapid Reward members early this morning.

This Rapid Rewards Promotions allows you earn Southwest’s Companion Pass much faster than the usual requirements. The usual requirements for a Companion Pass are 100 one way flights in a calendar year or 110,000 qualifying points. There are ways with credit card spend to accelerate the 110,000 qualifying points, but the 100 flights is a heavy requirement for any frequent flyer plan.

This promotion allows you to earn the companion pass in just 10 one way flights (or 5 round trips), or 10% of the normal requirement. Some highlights per the email offer:

  • Only the Rapid Rewards® Member who received this offer from Southwest Airlines® is eligible for this promotion.
  • Member must register for this promotion between July 7, 2016 and October 31, 2016 and registration must be completed prior to commencement of travel.
  • Member must complete five qualifying roundtrip revenue flights (or ten one-way revenue flights) originating from or returning to a qualifying Southwest served California airport between July 7, 2016 and October 31, 2016.
  • The Companion Pass entitles Member to designate a companion to fly for free (does not include taxes and fees from $5.60 one way) anywhere with the Member on the same Southwest Airlines flight that is purchased (with cash or points) by the Member.
  • Qualifying Southwest served California airports are Ontario International Airport (ONT), John Wayne Airport (SNA), Burbank Bob Hope Airport (BUR), Long Beach Airport (LGB), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Oakland International Airport (OAK), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Sacramento International Airport (SMF), San Jose International Airport (SJC) and San Diego International Airport (SAN).
  • Companion Pass is valid from the time promotion qualifications are met through December 31, 2017.
  • Bookings made prior to July 7, 2016 or prior to registering for this promotion are ineligible.

Here is the link from Southwest to see if you qualified.

The Southwest Companion Pass is one of the most lucrative benefits offered by any airline in the frequent flyer universe. Yours truly has qualified for this promotion and I’m seriously thinking about taking advantage of it. Susan is an Alaska Airlines elite, but I wonder if I can get her interested in a couple Southwest flights?
